Accordian artists book
This workshop will teach a contemporary twist on a centuries old book style.
Whether you like to paint, draw, write or just love to feel the crisp fold of beautiful papers come learn how to make a hardcover accordion with a spine. These books are a wonderful way to contain and display your work, memories or writing.
The addition of a spine gives the book many different characteristics and advantages to the traditionally open accordion/concertina book. It is also a great introduction to the fully cased book binding technique.
As you make your books you will learn many essential book binding skills about grain, folding and cutting. You will also learn about all the equipment, materials and tips you need to embark confidently on your own projects. No previous experience necessary.
This will be 3 hours of paper heaven in a beautiful bush setting and you will take home a completed book made from the highest quality archival art materials ready for your pen, ink or paint marks!.
